Round Two: December 29-30 Snowstorm

Well, Albuquerque received record snowfall yesterday and today as deep Pacific low churned over the state of New Mexico. It began snowing locally in Albuquerque about 8am on Friday and never quit until late Saturday afternoon. Although it fell lightly at times, we were able to receive 13 inches here at our house while the airport received over 15 inches. All of this accumulated throughout a 30 hour period. The system has now ejected northeastward and is pounding the high plains of the U.S. where numerous winter weather and blizzard warnings are in effect. This will definitely make for an interesting meteorological case study. Click here to view some pictures taken around our house throughout the event.
