house #2 (didn’t I just do this?)

Margie and I were quite distraught about losing the first house which we were intending to buy, but we still feel it was the right decision. The appraisal was just much lower than our offer, and we really started to second guess our interest in buying property that might never be worth what we paid for it. Because it was such a great remodeled house, we were really turned off by the thought of looking elsewhere for another house, but we sucked it up and started our second search with a clean slate. On Thursday we finally went into and looked at a house that Margie had seen in our area. Honestly, we didn’t fall in love with it like our first selection, but we are both starting to think that might be a good thing. We made an offer which was accepted on Friday. It’s a very well-maintained house just 2 blocks from our current townhouse with the same, great mountain views to the east and city views overlooking Albuquerque to the west.

It’s a 4 bedroom, 2 bath, 2 living area, 2 car garage, brick/stucco pitched roof home with 1725 square feet. We were happy to find something in the same neighborhood where the crime is less and we have a knowledgeable sense of direction. Enough gibberish….pics are few, but here’s what we’ve got so far.

Assuming we don’t hit any bumps in the road, we plan to close on this one June 25th. Guess we should start packing sometime soon!
