celebrating 5 years…
Margie and I celebrated our 5th year anniversary on the 24th by taking a weekend trip to Angel Fire in the Sangre de Cristo mountains of northern New Mexico. We stayed in a cabin south of the ski resort that is surrounded by the Carson National Forest. It was great to escape to a relaxing and cool climate and breathe some of the thin, but clean mountain air. Other than riding the ski lift on Saturday, we didn’t venture off too far from the valley.
On Sunday, we contemplated renting some ATVs for a jaunt up one of the nearby trails, but we quickly turned our attention to some horseback riding tours.
We rode with a guide for a 90 minute tour that was worth every penny. Despite my slight apprehension of getting on a horse, we saddled up (did you know those things don’t have seatbelts?!) and treked over the rugged terrain of the Carson Natl Forest. Here are some of the views.

Norton Car Show 2006
I finally came across a roll of film that I shot at the Norton, Kansas car show in the summer of 2006. Nothing fancy or special, but here’s a few images that I am fond of. I will spare detail of the show since I had an earlier post last summer referring to the show with a link to some video of the drag racing held afterwards (July 10, 2006 post).
Additional pictures from the show can be seen here.
