moon over ABQ…
Here’s a couple more pictures taken in Albuquerque. Each of these is a double exposure. The first one is of the August 2007 lunar eclipse with a foreground shot of the upper air shelter at the National Weather Service; the full eclipse had just completed, and the upper left portion of the moon began peeking over the sun’s shadow.
The second picture is a double exposure of a full moon on a cloudless night over a popular viewpoint on the NE side of the city.

lightning slides scanned…
I finally had some scans from last spring scanned, including these lightning pictures. These were shot on May 17, 2007 from the balcony of our old house in the NE heights of Albuquerque. This first one was a double exposure; the first shot was a zoomed-in exposure of nothing but a full moon on a clear night in March; the second shot was an 8 second exposure on May 17th of the lightning and remaining foreground. In other words, I took two pictures on the same frame of film. Instead of advancing the film after the first shot of the moon, I waited to re-expose it with a second shot which happened to be the lightning.
The remaining 3 shots had exposure times ranging from about 8 to 30 seconds.

IS IT FIXED YET??
I have upgraded to the latest version of WordPress, and I am monitoring the functionality of it. I seem to be having better luck with the new version, but I am not ready to call it fixed just yet. To finish up the new update, I will have to fine-tune some things to get the right look and aesthetics I am after. So, there will probably be some minor changes to the look and theme of the blog, but hopefully that will be it…and no more hiccups!
