These were technically taken on the 5th of August, since it was after midnight. Residual outflow boundaries and perhaps some kind of impulse aloft kept these storms going until just before sunrise. Although there wasn’t much substance with these, they did produce the occasional jaw-dropping cloud to ground strike. Here’s a few of the keepers with the exception of the fourth image…that one was the most photogenic strike of the night, but I was obviously not in focus. DOH!!
