star trails…

After several unsuccessful attempts of catching a meteor on camera during the recent Perseids meteor shower, I eventually turned to taking longer exposures. This was a 30 minute exposure at night, capturing the movement of stars relative to the earth, or star trails as time elapsed. This was actually taken in Angel Fire, NM this past weekend on a getaway with the family. The silhouette of pine trees in a perfectly calm wind over the 30 minute exposure time is visible as the foreground.
